C3 Church Hobart started in 1995 in Salamanca by founding pastors, Lucas and Annie Jacometti. Since then we have occupied many different locations including the the Stanley Burbury Theatre and also the Odeon Theatre which we owned for 10 years. We are now based in South Hobart in our own building (where we also operate the Rivulet Cafe and the C3 Convention Centre).

Our vision is to “Reach people on a journey to faith and to Build strong followers of Christ”.  Or simply put, to “Reach and Build people”.

In order to achieve this, we aim to create self-responsible disciples through a simple discipleship pathway (because a self-responsible, growing disciple of Jesus will reach and build people)!

Our simple discipleship pathway is just that…a series of steps that you can follow in order to become a more effective disciple.  We know that each person’s faith journey will be different, and that most people will not follow the steps in order, and that’s ok!  In fact, the steps do not necessarily need to be followed in order, but they have been placed in a logical progression creating a series of steps that can be used as a guide.

The discipleship pathway will take you through 3 stages of believing in Jesus, belonging to His Church, and building yourself and others.

Our movement is committed to healthy relationships and connection between ministers and churches. As an international family our members are able to walk into any of our C3 Churches around the world and know they’re home. We are united with Christ in His vision, and therefore our mission, to save the lost, make disciples and build His church.

With a passion for Jesus and desire to see this world won for Christ, Phil and Chris Pringle came to Sydney in 1980 to start a church. With just 12 people attending an Easter service, Christian Centre Northside began and the C3 Church movement as we now know was birthed. This church soon began planting within Sydney and beyond to cities and countries outside of Australia.

With over 500 churches in 64 countries, we are rapidly moving towards the 2020 Vision of 1,000 Locations planted by the year 2020.

Our Senior Pastors, Shaun and Mirella White are from Melbourne originally and moved to Hobart in 2012 straight from the Middle East where they had been living and working for 5 years. They were appointed the Pastors of C3 Church Hobart in early 2017.  They have 2 daughters, a very naughty dog and a stroppy cat.

Mirella began at C3 Hobart by volunteering in Accounts and over time her role grew to leading the midweek office team and taking care of Church finances. Shaun then joined her on staff in 2016. Since completing a degree in banking & finance way back when, her varied job titles have included Finance Manager, General Manager, Bookkeeper, stay at home Mum, librarian, volunteer and now Pastor!

Shaun is a trained paramedic and has worked in management within the medical field for years. He is known around the place as the "Paramedic Pastor". He loves his sport, all things fitness and tries to keep up with the guys half his age.

We BelievE:

There is one God: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit

In the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ the Son of God; we believe in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His victorious and atoning death, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, His constant intercession and in His imminent return

In the person and work of the Holy Spirit with His fruits and gifts available in the Church; The Bible is the living word of God. It is infallible, authoritative and everlasting and is the foundation of all Christian doctrine

In the existence of an evil spiritual being known as the devil

In the spiritually lost condition of all people and the essential need for the new birth by faith in Jesus Christ

In the baptism of the Holy Spirit as a gift available to believers subsequent to the new birth, with normal evidence of speaking in other tongues

In the sacraments of the Lords Supper and baptism by full immersion in water for all believers

In the resurrection of both the saved and the lost, the one to everlasting life and the other to everlasting separation from God

In the church being the body of Christ, and each member being an active part of a local church, fulfilling the Great Commission.
